A residence permit for the purpose of study may be issued to a third-country national:
who has been admitted to or accepted by a public education institution registered in the public education information system for pursuing full-time course of study in the regular school system or in daytime courses of study under a student relationship in Hungary; or
who is pursuing full-time education and training in a State-recognised institution of higher education or a foreign higher education institution authorised to operate in the territory of Hungary in daytime courses of study; and/or
who seeking residence in Hungary so as to attend a course in a higher education institution, which may cover a preparatory course prior to such education;

FEES AND COSTS
Our office undertakes to obtain a residence permit for the purpose of employment for our clients as a complete service.
Full management of obtaining the residence permit for the purpose of study: EUR 400.
This price includes the fee for the necessary amount of personal consultations, which is essential to describe the process and the documents to be obtained, the preparation of the application and all its annexes, and the personal and legal representation throughout the application process.
EXPECTED COSTS:
The procedure is subject to a fee, the amount of which is HUF 18,000
Expected translation cost: 30,000 HUF (this amount may vary depending on the amount of documents required).
Cost of passport photo: 500 HUF
Cost of title deed: 1500 HUF
In most cases, there are no costs in addition to the above, so you don’t have to expect any notary or other costs!
The application for the residence permit for the purpose of study shall be submitted to the consulate officer or other place authorized to receive the application for a residence permit in the country of the applicant's permanent or habitual residence or nationality.
If the residence permit for the purpose of study is granted, it shall at the same time authorize the issue of a visa entitling the holder to get the residence permit and shall inform the consulate officer thereof. A visa entitling the holder to get the residence permit shall be issued by a consulate officer.
The residence permit for the purpose of study is valid for at least one year, however, if the training is shorter than one year, it is adapted to the duration of the training and it can be extended from time to time by at least two years.
The period of validity of a residence permit for the purpose of study may not exceed the period of validity of the applicant's travel document!
